How we work · AI for marketing teams

Most marketing teams added AI tools without changing how they work.

We audit the team and its processes first, then propose and build a system that fits: workflows, tools and the way the team is set up. Your brand is built into it, so the output still sounds like you.

AI for marketing teams  ·  Strategy and brand projects

  1. Audit

It starts with a one-day session with the team. Then we map the processes, the tools and where the hours go: briefs, content, research, reporting.

  2. Proposal

A plan for where AI pays off and what has to change around it: processes, roles and responsibilities. Ranked by what pays off most, with what each step takes.

  3. System

We build it with the people who'll use it: workflows, custom tools where the off-the-shelf ones fall short, and brand guidelines the tools can follow.

  4. Team

Roles and routines adjusted to the new way of working, and training on the team's own brand and real tasks.

What you get
A clear picture of how the team works today: the processes, the tools and where the hours go.
A ranked plan for where AI pays off, and what has to change in roles and processes to get there.
The system, built and running: workflows, custom tools where they're needed, and brand guidelines the tools can follow.
A team that knows how to use it, trained on its own brand and real tasks.
How we use AI in our own work

Our research runs on AI. It gathers market data, competitor ads and what customers say, and sorts it. Every claim a conclusion rests on is traced back to where it was first published before we use it. Anything we can't verify stays out.

Strategy and brand projects

We read the market, the competitors and the customers, then write the brief.

Every project starts with three kinds of research. AI does the grunt work, and the judgment comes from close to 20 years of making these calls, agency and client side. The strategy comes out of what all three say together.

  1. Market

Where the category is heading: its size and growth, the benchmarks that matter, and the platforms and channels that are shifting.

  2. Competitors

The ads they're running now, how they position themselves, what they all say the same way, and the ground nobody has claimed yet.

  3. Customers

Why people buy, what stops them, and the words they use. Taken from reviews, forums and the places customers talk to each other.

  4. Opportunity

We put the three together and decide where the brand can win. This is the part AI doesn't do. It takes judgment and experience.

  5. Direction

Two or three strategic territories. You choose one, and we develop it into positioning and concept directions your team or agency can run with.

Why it works this way

Good strategy from a large agency takes months, and in-house teams rarely have a senior strategist free to do it. So it gets skipped, or replaced by testing more ads. We use AI for the research that used to eat the calendar: market data, competitor ads, and thousands of customer reviews and forum threads. That leaves the time for the part that needs experience: deciding what's true, what matters and what to make first. It's why a strategy project here is measured in weeks rather than months.

What you get
A research summary covering the market, the competitors and the customers, with a source for every claim.
The strategic opportunity: where the brand can win and why.
Two or three strategic territories to choose from.
The chosen direction, developed into positioning and concept directions.
A session with your team and agencies to hand it over.

We set the direction and stay with it while the work gets made.

Three ways to work together

Directly

With marketing leads and founders at the brand.

Behind an agency

As a strategy subcontractor, under the agency's name.

Alongside an agency

As a named strategy partner on the account.

Engagements range from an AI audit of your marketing team to a focused strategy project or an ongoing partnership.

If your team is working out AI, or the brand needs a direction, let's talk.
